When we first moved into our house two years ago, I was so excited to finally have a bigger and better Pantry! The only problem was…it was a MESS. I had no organization whatsoever and I was constantly finding myself overwhelmed by how much of a disaster it was.
So here is a look at what I was dealing with before I got myself organized. Pretty awful, right? Just looking at it stresses me out lol!
Time to get organized. Enough is enough!
Last year around my Birthday I decided enough was enough. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest trying to find exactly what I was after for organization, but I never really did…Until one day I stepped into a TJ Maxx and that all changed. If you have never heard of Sistema containers, they are pretty much the perfect organizing system for your Pantry, cabinets
Take a look at what a difference my first set of canisters made after just one trip to the store! And also a little tidying up on my part.
Of course, this much organization alone was not enough to keep me organized, and so I went back to TJ Maxx several more times to find the right canisters in the exact color I was looking for (if you can’t tell, I do have an obsession with Aqua). Gradually, I became more and more organized with the more canisters I purchased.
One day, I was at Joann and discovered the PERFECT veggie crates I wanted to store all of my bread and canned goods in! I couldn’t believe what a wonderful deal I got on them too. I also found some divider crates and smaller crates for other items. Check out the transformation below!
Besides the new crates and Sistema containers, I also invested in some Lazy Susan’s from Target, a new step stool and a smaller, more functional trashcan. I am officially organized and it feels AMAZING. Now, when I walk into my Pantry, I don’t feel overwhelmed anymore. Now, I feel at ease because there is a place for everything and everything in
